What I'm reading now

  • Nic Pizzolatto: Galveston: A Novel

    Nic Pizzolatto: Galveston: A Novel
Here's a wild ride of a book. Bad guy with nothing to lose rescues a young prostitute, runs from badder guys. It doesn't look good for our protagonist. Masterful can't-put-it-down writing.

Tired Words

  • Magical
I thought this word was reserved for fairy tales. Now it's a word used to describe the iPad and even a night out for pizza in a recent Visa TV spot.
  • Transparency
I can see through this one.
  • Iconic
Just because something is well-known doesn't mean it's legendary or even important.
